Data Engineering Leader who shares insights and learnings that I picked up over the last 15 years of my career in the Data Engineering field. I am also the Founder & Director at Nayak and Shenoy Foundation(Non-Profit NGO)

My name is Shashwath Shenoy and I am based out of Bengaluru, India. I am working in the Technology industry for the past 16 years and I have around 14+ years in the field of Big Data, Distributed concepts and Data Engineering.

I live with my Family which includes my Mom, wife and Daughter. I want to make a difference in society through my work. 9–5 job is for my technical aspect and the rest of the time I devote to my NGO and upskilling myself.

World needs a lot of helping hands and most of the time, people are struggling to get financial aid.I know apart from financial support there are other things in life that are of priority, but if you have 1 Million in your bank account, 7 out of your 10 problems are automatically solved.

In this digital era, where AI and machine learning are ruling, one needs to be updated and always be on the toes. I have never believed in comfort zones, I always do things that are challenging and which provide an impact.

I worked in MNCs for more than a decade and then realised that unknowingly I was in a comfort zone. For months, I was not learning anything new nor doing anything creative. My work had become stagnant and that’s when I decided to take action.

Motivation is important but without discipline and consistency, it’s very challenging to achieve your goals. At the end of the day, what you do when no one is watching you, matters a lot!

Information regarding my NGO

For me, success isn’t measured by the number of people we’ve helped through our NGO, but by the impact we’ve made. If even one person, years from now, credits our foundation with helping shape their life, that would be a true victory. We didn’t start this foundation to tally how many people we assisted; our goal has always been to create meaningful change in society. At some point in life, everyone should recognize their “peak point” — a moment when the desire for material possessions fades, and they feel ready to give back. Sadly, few reach this realization, as their desires continue to grow with their wealth.
